Laylaybay is a curated list of useful, interesting products that solve everyday problems. Our goal is to recommend only things worth buying, with clear facts and no fluff.

How we pick products

We pick every product by hand. If a product is not something we would recommend to a friend, it does not go on the site.

Every product we feature must solve a real problem, offer solid build quality, and come backed by verified specifications and reputable reviews. We also believe that no product is perfect. Every find on Laylaybay includes honest downsides, common owner complaints, and a clear explanation of who should skip it.

Unless a find says otherwise, we have not tested the product ourselves; we research it from specs, owner reviews and expert reviews.

How scores work

Each find receives three editorial scores from 1 to 10 for Design, Quality, and Utility. The overall score is the rounded average of those three, unless an override is noted with an explanation.

Affiliate links and independence

Some links on Laylaybay are affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you.

Commissions never influence our picks, rankings, or scores. A product is never chosen, given a higher score, or placed more prominently because it pays a commission or has a higher payout rate. If a great product does not have an affiliate program, we will still recommend it if it is the best solution.

No paid placements

Brands cannot pay for a spot on Laylaybay, and they cannot pay for a better score or a positive review. We do not accept sponsored posts, paid rankings, or paid links.

Free samples and gifts

We research products using public specifications, owner reviews, and independent evaluations. If a brand ever sends a free product sample for evaluation, we disclose that clearly on the find page. Receiving a sample never guarantees a review, a spot on the site, or a favorable score.

How we keep information fresh

Prices and availability can change quickly. We check prices and store links monthly, and we do extra checks before major shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and 11/11.

When a product is updated, discontinued, or replaced by a newer version, we update the find page and adjust the date. If a reader alerts us to an error, we correct it promptly.

Use of AI tools
